Happy Anniversary!

Today me and James are celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary!
I cannot believe it has only been 2 years!

Who would have thought that by 2 years we would have our own home
and our amazing son.

We have been truly, truly blessed!

I love thinking back about that magical day 2 years ago.

I loved having family prayer with my family before we left for the Salt Lake Temple

I loved getting dressed in my mothers wedding dress to be sealed in

I loved kneeling across the alter with the love of my life

I loved having my Grandpa seal us for time and all eternity

I loved that my Grandpa told James, "Don't hurt her or I'll come after you." :)
(thanks Grandpa. xox)

I loved seeing my family in the Sealing room

I loved seeing the smiles on my mom and dad's face
(something I will never, ever forget)

I loved giving hugs to everyone who came to our Sealing.

I loved that I made my (tough) brother cry :)

I loved being with my sisters together

I loved taking pictures outside the Temple

I loved walking into our reception center for the first time and seeing all the decor

I loved everything about our reception

I loved standing next to my sweetheart greeting all our loved ones.

I loved holding James hand the entire night

I loved dancing with my Daddy

and James

I loved driving into the night sky, beginning our future together.

I loved loved everything about that day

And I have loved every moment since.

I love you James.
xoxo

Lagoon

Once a year, and once a year ONLY my family goes to Lagoon for my dad's company work party for The Boyer Company. This year we made a day out of it and enjoyed the rides. Well, I enjoyed 2 rides and then I was finished :) It was so much fun spending time with the family.

My dad was such a trooper and went on rides with miss Jayci. He also did the rocket..twice!

Lincoln and Daddy
 Pots and Jayc
Cute Kelli and her prego belly. I can't wait til my new nephew is born!
I'm so sad this picture is blurry.  It started to get so cold when the sun went down but Kelli really wanted to ride the tube ride because she could while she's pregnant. So she bought a 3$ trash bag..i mean water poncho :) Her, Mitch, Jayci and James enjoyed the freezing water. The rest of us tried our hardest to spray them with the fountains, but we failed. dang.
Nick and James enjoying the log ride together....ahhh
And poor Jayci - she did not like this ride, but she was such a trooper and told us when she got off "i am never going on that ride ever again"
until next year....

First Boating Trip

A few weeks ago we went out on the boat for the first time this season. The weather wasn't the greatest and the water was FREEZING - 52 degrees! Needless to say, it was too cold for everyone besides Scott and James. So those two had lots of wakeboarding time.

It was also Lincolns first time on the boat. I was scared it wouldn't like it. But he DID! And I am so happy he does because he will be spending lots of time on the boat in the next couple of weeks. He even slept for the majority of it! Seriously it was awesome. Although, Lincoln didn't like his life jacket - but what baby does?!

Once again, I have a lot of pictures of this boating trip because of course...it was his first time on the boat :)

Memorial Day

As always, for Memorial Day we spent the morning at the Wright's. We had our traditional breakfast and rocket launched, followed by going to the cemetery.

The morning of Memorial Day it had snowed so it was freezing while we watched the rockets go off. Bill of course had the biggest rocket which almost crashed through the neighbors house.

As many of you know, Lincoln is one active kid. He doesn't cuddle and loves to be moving. I was worried during the rocket launch that Lincoln would be scared of the loud noise of the rockets launching. Well, it loved it - he loved it so much he fell asleep on me. It was one of the greatest mommy moment! I loved cuddling with my sweet baby boy.

After the rocket launch we went to the Draper Cemetery to visit Megan's grave. It was Lincoln's first time seeing his Aunt Megan's grave. We also so Grandpa Wright's grave as well. It is sweet to hear Layne and Marian tell stories about Megan and about Grandpa Wright.

When we got back Layne was playing the piano while John accompanied him. Lincoln crawled into the music room and sat looking up and Layne and started dancing. It was so stinking cute watching him watch is grandpa, swaying to his music.

9 Months, Sick baby, Priesthood Blessing, and Sleep Deprived.

Lincoln James is now 9 months old. Can you believe it? Seriously, where does the time go? He is seriously so much fun and completely adorable.

Unfortuntaly this week hasn't been the case (okay, he is still adorable). On Saturday morning Lincoln woke up with the sneezes. Hum we thought. As the day went on his eyes got really red and started to get really runny. We thought it was just allergies. We had been at Lagoon a few days later and the cotton flying around was t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e. Well, Saturday night we went to my parents and Lincoln was just miserable. He wouldn't lay down to sleep, and just screamed. Poor guy. I gave him some benedryal and some tylonal.  We left early on Saturday to head home to put him to bed.

On Sunday morning I had a friends homecoming in my parents ward. James had meetings so I took Lincoln with me. He started out just fine in church, but they started to get worse. He's poor eyes and nose. He was so tired, but he wouldn't fall asleep. I ended up leaving right after the sacrament meeting and headed back home to Lehi.

James was home and was getting ready to head to our ward. I told him that there was no way I was going to take mr. Lincoln to church. He needed to sleep. He was seriously miserable.

At 1:30 I got a text from James. He asked if he could bring the young men over at 3:30 to give Lincoln a blessing. I at first thought it was kinda a strange request to have the young men come, but as I thought about it, James was in sacrament meeting and I figure it was a prompting to do so. So I agreed.

At 3:30 James came in with the Bishopric and about 5 young men. James went and got the oil and explained to the boys what the oil is and why it is used. He then went on to explain how important the priesthood is to have in the home. The spirit was so strong as he talked to the young men. I just balled. Then James started getting teary eyed.  It was such a great teaching moment. A good majority of the boys in our ward come from split families and a lot of them just live their their moms. I hope that the boys were able to see and feel how amazing the priesthood is and how important it is to be worthy to have the priesthood in your home so you can give blessings.

Our Bishop anointed the oil on sweet Lincolns head and then James and the Bishopric gave Lincoln a blessing. Like I said before the Spirit was so strong. I was just in tears. It was also Lincoln's first blessing (besides his baby blessing). I am so grateful for the Priesthood and that James has it. I'm also grateful for great neighbors that have been so great while Lincoln has been so sick.

Anyways - Sunday night was one of the worst nights I have had as a parent. Lincoln literally only slept for 2hours all night. He wouldn't go to bed at 8, so we all got in the car and went on a drive. Around ten lincoln had fallen asleep. When we got home, James laid him in his crib and we got ready for bed. I went in to get Lincoln's bottle and to check on him before I went to bed, but as I walked in, Lincoln woke up. He was screaming and screaming and he wouldn't fall back to sleep. So, at midnight, I got in the car and we went on another drive.

The rest of the night Lincoln just screamed and screamed. James took Lincoln on another drive at 3:30AM just so he could sleep for a minute or two. The poor little guy was in so much pain.

First thing in the morning I called the Pediatrician and got an early appointment. Turns out the Lincolnator has a double ear infection, pink eye and a viral infection. The doctor gave Lincoln a shot full on antibiotics and we were on our way home.

I ended up missing some of my classes. My mom was such a saint to drive down to watch Lincoln so I could go to a class I needed to go to. All day Lincoln just moaned and cried and wouldn't sleep.

Later that evening as I was feeding Lincoln he started throwing up and he kept throwing up. It got so bad that we was just dry heaving. I was seconds away from taking him into instacare. He hadn't eaten all day, only 12 ounces! I ended up calling the urgent care nurse and she suggested stop giving him formula and baby food and just do juice and pedialite. I quickly ran to the store while James took Lincoln on another drive to help him calm down.

I came home with Pedialite, numbing ear drops and saline drops for his nose to help suction and ice cream sandwiches :) Luckily the ear drops started to do wonders. Although lincoln doesn't like Juice and the pedialite. So he woke up hungry and that was all we had to feed him. Poor guy. Luckily he slept a little better than the previous night.

Today he was been a little better. I played with his toys a little which was great to see. He has been moaning and needing to be held. He keeps crying because he is so hungry and of course his body hurts. Evey time we try to feed him his formula he throws it up. So we are sticking strong to the pedialite and juice. Plus, I have been puked on so many times, watched the floors and scrubbed the carpets and have seriously, no joke, have done ten loads of laundry.

Right now Lincoln is started to get a little better. He should be sleeping, but he's playing with my computer cord instead. I can't stand him being in his crib screaming in pain so I cave and bring him to cuddle with me.

I pray he starts feeling better soon. I have been giving all of my attention to Lincoln that I have neglected school. I still have 2 research papers to do in a week and half and haven't even started yet. Not to mention completely sleep deprived. No sleep for 3 days has finally caught up with me. Every time I lay my head down to take a nap, Lincoln wakes up or my phone starts ringing. I'm grateful for the silent button on the phone, and for when James got home from work allowing me to take a nap. I'm also grateful for my mom being willing to take Lincoln again tomorrow so I can go to my classes and stay a few extra hours so I can get a good start on my papers.  I cannot wait for school to be over with!

Lincoln is 8 months

Lincoln is already 8 and a half months old now.

Like everyone says - I cannot believe how fast he has grown up.

He is such a firecracker of a boy

He is always on the move and is never sitting still.

Here are pictures galore of the Lincolnater at 8 months!

First time sitting in a shopping cart
Standing at the backdoor wishing he was outside with Daddy

Look! no hands!

Linc loves his walker!
He loves pulling out all the DVDs
and of courses loves to play with mommy's curtains

"humm what can I find in this drawer?!"
SO BIG!

ut oh!
This is how Lincoln sits in his carseat. He holds on for dear life. haha

Lincoln is such an amazing, good boy.
He naps so well. 2, 2hour naps a day and then a 45 minute nap.
He goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes up around 7:30 or 8am.
He does however, still wake up once at night - but we are working on him sleeping through the night.

He hardly EVER cries! He only fusses when he is tired or hungry. But we are usually on top of feeding him and we put him to bed right when the time is right that we really never really hear him cry :)

He is such an independent little guy. He loves playing with his toys and is content playing in his crib. He likes it when somebody is in the room with him and if he notices he is alone, he'll crawl around the house looking for someone :)

He has been crawling since he was 6 and a half months old. And the week he started crawling, he started pulling himself up and standing.

He can now stand on he own, and walk using support of the furniture or his walker. This guy l.o.v.e.s. to be moving!

He is such a little drooler. He has been since day one. His shirt is soaked within the first few hours of him being awake. He goes through many shirts and bibs each day :)

He LOVES being outside. Whenever he hears or sees one of the doors open, he crawls as fast as he can trying to escape. I can't wait for the summer weather to get here so we can actually go outside.

Lincoln loves talking. He can say dadadada (although he still doesn't associate it with 'daddy' yet - thank goodness, cuz I want him to say mamma first!!) He also loves to say lalalala. Sometimes he will have such a serious conversation with himself. You can tell he is concentrating so much.

He still only has his 2 bottom teeth in. He has a 3rd one ready to cut through any day now (although i've been saying that for months now - this tooth just wont cut!)

He is not a cuddler. Although, if you give him a toy to play with and his binky and his blanket, he sometimes will sit on your lap. I do cherish those moments when he is my cuddle bunny.

He has a very fast metabolism. We have to feed him about every 2 to 3 hours so that he can stay full throughout the night. (we figured that was the problem he was waking up every hour at night) He is still getting the hang of table foods.  He loves gramcrackers, his sippy cup, stars, his baby food mixed with rice cereal and of course his formula.  He will have a full setting of food and still want a bottle after words.  This boy can eat like his daddy - that's for sure.

Lincoln loves to play with the dish towels that hang on the oven. Everytime I hang them up, he crawls to them and pulls them off :)

He loves to fridge and freezer. When every I open it, he bolts to it and tries to climb inside.

He loves playing in the food cabinet.
He loves playing with my hair brush and all my shoes and loves to pull my clothes off their hangers.

He is a master at climbing up the stairs

He is soo friendly and is not stranger shy.  He will crawl to anyone, and play with anyone. At church he'll escape from us and crawl across the isle and sit with the families over there. I must say, it is nice being able to sit and actually listen what's being said in sacrament meeting:)

He is such a happy baby and always has a smile on his face.  People honestly stop me and ask me all.the.time. if he is always that happy and if he always has a smile on his face. My answer - yes! I am so, extremely lucky!

I can't believe my little man is going to be ONE in just a few months.
His party is already in the works :)
