Winston's Baby Blessing

Last Sunday, November 4th was a great day.
James blessed our sweet son
Winston Craven Wright.

It was so nice to sit in Church with our family surrounding us.
We had almost all of our siblings (who live in Utah) with us.
We also had my Grandma and Grandpa Craven there too.
It was so nice to have my Grandparents there, especially since my own parents and in-laws couldn't be there.  It made it feel more like home.
(we missed you Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell)

James gave a great blessing
Some of the things that were said in the blessing were:
That Winston would be blessed with the desire to be obedient
and to listen and heed to the prophet and follow his words and counsels.
He blessed him to have a desire to work hard and have a love of missionary work
also with a desire to know the truthfulness of the gospel
and the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

It was so nice to look up at the circle formed around my sweet Winston. In the circle stood:
James, Grandpa Craven, Mitch, Nick, John, Mike, Bill, Taylor, Sam and Joseph.

The spirit was strong and once again testified to me that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

After Sacrament meeting we all met back at our place to have a little brunch.
It was so fun to be surrounded by all my family.
(once again, we truly, truly missed our parents - especially during this special time)

Linc was done with his cute tie

Thanks to everyone who came and who supported us.
I am so grateful for our families
The Gospel
The Priesthood
and of course, my little, eternal family.

I mailed out Winston's Birth Announcement a few weeks ago and thought I'd show it to the blogging world:

Halloween 2012

We had a fabulous Halloween this year!
This was Lincoln's 3rd Halloween and Winston's first.
Lincoln loved every second of the day-
whereas, Winston slept for most of it :)

In the afternoon I took the boys over to Kelli's house where we hung out and took some Halloween Pictures.
Lincoln dressed up as a Dragon
Mack, a Lobster
Winston, a Monster.

When we first got to Kelli's house, Mack was sleeping.
That of course didn't last long...
I found Lincoln in Mack's crib.
They were having so much fun jumping and bouncing each other.
They are seriously, best friends!

Lincoln was not pleased with wearing his costume
 "BIG HUG"

Linc loved carrying around his "Pumpkin"

 No mas costume

The boys loved filling their pumpkins with rocks!

After we left Kelli's we went home to have naps so we were well rested for Trick-or-Treating!

We had to convince Lincoln to put on his costume.
We gave him his "pumpkin" and told him if he wore the Dragon he would get candy.
He didn't believe us so we filled his bucket with candy we were going to hand out.
He started to get the idea and let me put on his Dragon.

It was so funny because earlier in the day he hated having his Dragon hood on-
but while we were Trick-or-Treating he kept it on the whole time!
When we took it off so he wouldn't get so hot, He would freak out and say "no, Candy! Candy!"
He knew that as long as he was dressed in his cute Dragon, we was going to get candy -
and boy, did that kid get lots of candy!

Lincoln was awesome. He knocked on every, single door.
And he kept knocking and knocking and knocking until someone answered it!

We met with you Taylor and Lisa and Rock, the Giraffe
Those two had so much fun together!
They defiantly enjoyed their evening

We then decided to go to John's neighborhood to see if we could get better candy :)
When we got there, Mike and Melissa and their kids were there!
So fun to be with family on Halloween!

We had such a great Halloween.
It was extremely weird not being at my parents house for their Halloween Buffet
but we made the best of it and really enjoyed our Halloween with our little family.

And I might add-
I seriously have the cutest Monster and Dragon
I am one proud momma
