"I'd say 8"

So, yesterday, the 24th James and I went in to see my doctor and get another ultrasound...THE ULTRASOUND. And wouldn't you like to know what we are having?! Well...okay....

Yes..YOU ARE SEEING BLUE!

But maybe we should look closer...

 IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well...as the doctor says..."I'd say 8 out of 10 it's a girl." When He was doing the ultra sound, he turned to me and said, "I'm not seeing a whole lot here.  Is that a good thing or bad thing?" And I quickly said, "it's a bad thing. I wanted to know what we were having so I could trick my parents with the gender we find out today." Dr. Hall looked at James, and James looked at Him and then Dr. Hall turned to me and said, "I'm saying, I think it's a girl. I see 2 lines right here..." WOW! A GIRL! We had thought boy, boy, boy. (well, until lately when I started second guessing myself) Dr. Hall kept saying, "ya, i'm thinking girl." So I turned to him and said, "On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being definite..." And he said "8!" SO, for now we are saying girl!!! James was kind of disappointed because he was expecting it to be 100% and the appointment to be more 'clear.' We will go back in 4 weeks and check again and get a 100%. (unless I can convince him to take me to fetal photo and take a peek earlier)  Since it's an 80% we are looking and talking girl but not buying until next month when we know for sure. And once we do...it's going to be SO MUCH FUN SHOPPING FOR A GIRL!!!

NOW to clarify why all the blue... 
A few weeks ago, I found out that my parents were taking Kelli and Scotty to San Fransisco for 3 days...and to take them to go see Wicked. If anyone knows me, you know how I love music and musicals, and if and when I have time, want to participate in musicals. Well, yes I was extremely jealous! (Oh, did I tell you Jana wasn't invited either?) So, when I found out that they were going to be gone during over the 24th...during THE ULTRASOUND...I told my lovely Mother that I wouldn't tell her over the phone what we find out at the doctor appointment. She wasn't too thrilled about that one! But at the same time I wanted to tell my parents in a cool way what the gender of our baby is because I wasn't able to them I was pregnant in a cool way.  (I was too anxious and couldn't wait...I had to tell them right away...lamely, over the phone) Anyways. Jana and I plotted together and came up with making them think I was having a boy! (hence all the blue) I have a good friend who tricked her parents with blue balloons and had the one that said 'it's a girl.' So I copied that! Then Jana and I made a cake. We used a white cake mix but dyed the mix pink then frosted the outside blue.  When my parents came in my mom saw blue and freaked! She was like "BOY!"

And I went along with it just laughing. Then she stopped and said, "GIRL? What, that balloon says girl.  Are you have a girl or boy?" I smiled and just laughed and laughed.  I told her I didn't know.  I went on to tell her what the doctor said and she was like, "that's great, so what are you having?" I said, "wait. I haven't told you yet?!" (still laughing) and she abruptly said "NO!" So we told them (mom, dad, scotty and kelli) to cut the cake and they saw PINK! It's true...GIRL!!!

Oh and side note: James is going to be the cutest  Daddy to our little girl.  The way he acts towards our little sunbeam girl...precious. I cannot wait!!
