Summer Is Over

Well, it's sad to think that summer is coming to an end this Wednesday. It feels like summer just began because for the first few months of summer it was crazy busy with finishing up the wedding plans, getting ready for Kelli to get home from her mission and trying to get my parents house ready for the remodel. I have now finally been able to relax, enjoy the sun, sleep in, waste my days away...and now it's all over. Although it seems like it all went by so fast...there was a lot that happened. Here is my summer recap!

May - June 1st
Finishing up the last minute wedding details.
Bridal Showers

June 12th
I received my Endowment in the Draper Temple. It was such an amazing experience! It was nice just having James and our parents there. That is a day I will never forget!

June 17th
Kelli got home from her mission from Adelaid Austrailia! I love that she is home! We have SO much fun together. It's nice having the 'girls' together again!

(Kelli getting off the plane and coming down the stairs)
It was so fun spending a few days with Kelli and the family until I had to go do a fashion camp for work. It was a lot of fun and totally stressful! We had about 50 girls from around Utah that are on our fashion team participate in a 3 day camp where we had fashion clinics from learning how to do hair and makeup to learning how to walk down a run way. The girls really seemed to enjoy it..and so did I!

After fashion camp my mom, dad and Kelli went to Girls Camp while Scotty went to scout camp. Jana and Jake went on Trek as Ma and Pa and so I watched there kids, Kaiden and Maggie. Jana's kids are soo sweet! I loved waking up to a little knock on the door and having Kaid wanting to lay in bed with me until Mags woke up! We had fun going on walks, playing cars and watching movies. One morning Kaiden was a lot of things about lions and alligators, so I decided to take him and Mags to the zoo. We had SO much fun! Kaid would see an animal and then say, "i wanna see more" So we'd walk to the next group of animals and he'd say, "I wanna see more"...he loved it so much!

Once the family all got back in town, it was Sunday and it was Kelli's homecoming! She did such an amazing job speaking! She was such an incredible missionary and I know it was hard for her to come home.
The next day was the 29th, the day before the wedding! The girls woke up early and went and got pedicure and manicures! It was so nice to be able to relax before the big day. After that, I had a lot of errands to do... get last minute things for the honeymoon, get my ring clean, make sure my bouquet would be ready in the morning, make sure the dress was steamed and still relax. At 6:00 my family met up with James' family at his house for our night before BBQ. We had it catered so it was nice knowing nobody had to stress about it. It was fun seeing our families interact together and get along so well! After the fun BBQ it was off to bed!
June 30th
THE WEDDING DAY
Unfortunately, I woke up with a bad stomach ache. I felt sick all during my hair appointment and when I got back home, I told myself, 'it's my wedding day and I'm not gonna let me being sick ruin this day.' So I changed my attitude and got through the day.
The sealing was amazing! My Grandpa Craven sealed us and it was so sweet. It made it really personable. I love my grandpa so much! It was so nice seeing all the family and friends in the sealing room. There was such a great spirit there!
After the sealing we had pictures and then the reception! The reception was at Memory Grove. It was beautiful! I weather was perfect for our indoor/outdoor reception. I loved seeing everyone I love there. The atmosphere was so much fun! We had a live band playing fun music, we had amazing food, and it seemed like everyone just wanted to linger, and enjoy the night! Ah, it was absolutely perfect!! (once I get the copyrights for all the wedding pictures, I'll post them)
  Me and mom :)

After the reception we went up to Park City. All I have to say about it...
Stomach Flu

On Friday we headed to the airport at 5AM and flew to Puerto Vallarta! We had such a good time.
(The post about the honeymoon was posted earlier in my blog)
Most of July I just worked and put the house together.

July 24th
My parents took our family up to Ogden for the Rodeo and Fireworks. I have to admit, it was the longest rodeo EVER! It seemed like they were doing more presentations than doing anything exciting. The fireworks were fun to see! I absolutely LOVE fireworks!!

August came fast!
I just worked and so did James (which is never fun to do during the summer)
Although, last weekend my parents rented a cabin in Eden and we went boating at Pineview for 3 days. It was so much fun! We were close enough to the lake were we could come and go to the cabin when we pleased. The weather was awesome, besides Saturday. I was able to wakeboard and i'm becoming more confident! yay! (sorry, I don't have pictures..my camera battery died when I turned it on)

And August 17th
My and my sisters and mom went out for Kelli's birthday. We have so much fun togeher!! Kelli wanted to go to an India Resturant.  So she picked Bombay House. Good choice Right?! Wrong...it's only open for dinner. So we turned around and found a place just off of 400 south in salt lake. It was very...interesting. I kept a smile on my face the whole time while i tried to chew down curry chicken and crazy, weird things I had no idea what I was really eating!
After my mom treated us to Ice cream...we had to get that taste out of our mouths! We honestly laughed the whole entire time! So fun!
And now it's Friday ... and I have a nasty cold/flu. It is no way to spend the last weekend of summer.
Hopefully the school year of 18 credits will treat me well!
