tummy bug

We've had a rough week or so at our house :(
Mr. Lincoln has been sick with a viral infection.

He can't seem keep his formula down.  About 3 times a day he has been throwing everything up.  It is seriously so sad - and so hard! I have done SO MUCH LAUNDRY! Even this morning I had to start a load at 6:45 because Lincoln threw up in his crib.

I took him to the doctor today and they said just to watch him and feed him less amounts of formula more frequently.  So i've been giving him an ounce every hour or so.  It seems to be helping. I hope we can get over this nasty bug soon.

And not to mention he now has a cold on top of it. The Pediatrition is more worried about Lincoln getting another ear infection than this tummy bug he has.

So until he gets all better - he will continue wearing pretty much just his diaper - skin is much easier to clean than clothes! :)

Even with all of Lincoln's sickness, he still keeps a smile on his face. He's such a good boy!

 ..there he goes!!
I'm grateful for his afternoon naps.
It makes for a great nap for me too -
our nights haven't been the greatest this past week.

Here's to Linc getting better
We're on the road to recovery!

Miss Macy's Blessing

Yesterday was so a nice, beautiful Sunday -
one in which I have missed for a long time.

Jana and Jake blessed their little Macy Louise
and we had the entire family today!

It was soo extremely nice to have the family all together
and not to mention being able to be at Macy's baby blessing.

Macy is such a sweet little baby.
She never cries, sleeps so well and is teeny tiny!
At around 8 weeks she still only weighs 8 pounds!
I am seriously in love with her.

I LOVE having Kaids and Maggs here too.
I have missed these 2 so much!!!

It is so much fun to have all the grandbabies together.
On Friday my parents took us all to Disney on Ice.
There use to only be 4 grandkids-
but now we are at 7! It was insane walking around Energy Solutions with all these kids/babies.

Everyone LOVED Disney on Ice- Except for Lincoln.
He doesn't do well with loud, sudden noises so when the program started he lost it!
I had to stay out in the halls for a good portion of it then I gradually eased us back in.
He did pretty well once he got use to the sounds and lights and sat quietly on my lap.

Thanks mom and dad again! It was so fun!!

check out that tongue!

Stress Mode

I am in total stress mode. This week I can register for summer school at uvu. I have just about 3 semesters left before I can finally graduate. I so wish it was sooner!!

I wanted to just take Tuesday/Thursday night classes so I can be home with Lincoln during the day and James can watch him at night.

Well, non of my classes I need to take are being offered at nights - or on Tuesday and Thursday. So, now my schedule is looking like MWF 9-3. Lets remember that James works during the day. Which means I am going to be in need of a babysitter for Lincoln.

Just the thought of leaving Lincoln with someone other than my mom or sister, or James' mom F.R.E.A.K.S.  M.E.  O.U.T.  I know that I need to get over that eventually, but I'm not ready yet. I just want family to be able to watch him.  How do I know that a 'babysitter' is really going to be able to take care of my little guy.  And how do you find a great babysitter? One who understands babies, plays with them, can feed them properly and understand how important his schedule is and stick to it? We are talking having someone watch him 3 days a week for 7 hours a day (including travel time) which means 21 hours a week for 7 weeks! This little babysitter will be spending lots of time with him - she'll have to be absolutely perfect!! Where in the world!?

Am I over exaggerating on this people? Does anybody know somebody loyal and absolutely perfect to watch my little guy? And be able to? I would love to keep the same sitter for the 7 weeks (may 9-June 27) so that Lincoln can get use to the sitter and she'll be able to really understand him and his schedule.

Totally stressing!!

2 years ago from today

2 years ago from today

February 28, 2009

James got pretty gutsy and did this

And I said "Yes"

I'm so glad I said Yes on that day.
I am so extremely happy and I love our happy life together.

Our '5 year' plan was to get married, finish school, work, travel and then start our family by our 2 year anniversary.
Well, that didn't happen!

I love that our plan changed and that we have our Little Lincoln in our family.

I was talking to James last week and brought our plan up.
I said -
'Could you imagine if we would have waited the 2 years to have a baby like we originally planned on-
Could you imagine not having Lincoln in our lives?'

It's crazy to think that if we stuck to our plan I would probably just be getting pregnant and we wouldn't have Lincolnator.
Totally crazy and mind boggling (yes mind boggling)

I'm so happy and grateful that I have what I have

And that I made the greatest life changing decision 2 years ago.
