No More Training Wheels!

We had something fun, amazing and exciting happen at our house a couple weekends ago. James taught Lincoln to ride a bike with no training wheels! James told me his was going to take Lincoln's training wheels off. I told him, 'good luck. Make sure Linc has on his helmet.' Not even 5 minutes later James yelled in from the garage, 'Jame, if you wanna take pictures, nows your chance - he's already doing it!'. I of course raced outside and started watching in awe how easy it was for Lincoln to pick up how to balance and peddle and watch himself on his bike. He is such a smart, fast learner! 3 years old still seems young to me to be riding a big boy bike - but then again - it's Lincoln - he surprises us daily.

The other day I was with the boys on a walk. A police officer stopped us and told Lincoln how happy he was for making a smart choice by wearing his helmet while he rides his bike. Lincoln was given a police badge and a Subway gift card for a free meal. Lincoln was happy, and I was of course proud. We took Lincoln out to dinner that night so he could cash in his free meal. He was beaming all night.

Rigby Lake Triathlon

James ran the Rigby Lake Triathlon a couple weekend ago. James hasn't really had time to race the past 3 years so it was really fun being able to be the spectator's wife :) I could never see myself running any type of race - but I get so much joy and excitement out of watching James race. I truly, truly love it. And it was fun watching him this year because I had the boys to help cheer him on. It was a little tricky trying to run around to the transitions and all - but still fun. I think James liked having Linc and Winn there yelling "Go Dad!"

We had a couple really good friends also run the race. It was so fun seeing everyone at the finish line.

Since it was at the Lake, the boys loved throwing rocks and making big splashes. After James race we got the boys in their swim suits and let me swim. We have played/swam at this lake a few times now and the boys (well, Lincoln) begs to go to the 'beach' almost daily!

James, of course did fabulous and got 1st place in his age. Not bad for not competing for 3 years. He'll be doing the Viking Man in August!

Memorial Day

Wow - I gotta do some back tracking - I obviously forgot to post about our Memorial Day Weekend. Oops! We had a great Memorial Day weekend with the Wright's in Utah.  We went boating, and surprise, surprise, it was cold. (seriously, we have yet to have warm weather while boating this year). The boys loved it, which makes boating even more enjoyable.

On Sunday we went to Centerville to visit my brother and his family! They had baby #4 and it was so fun to meet and snuggle baby Jett. So sad I don't have any pictures of him :(  We also were invite to have Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Craven. I love my Grandparents so much. They were so kind to open their home to us for the evening. We also went to the Centerville cemetery together to put flowers on Millee's grave and to see my Grandpa's parents grave. I love the time I have with my Grandparents, to hear their stories and their testimonies.

We had the annual Rocket Launch - which, of course did not disappoint! After, we went to the Draper Cemetery to see sweet Megan's Grave (James' sister).  Miss Megan has been such a guardian angel to us, I love her so much and cannot wait to meet her one day. Love you Megan!
